Dock Building

When you decide that you want to build a dock onto your lakefront property, whether it be on High Rock Lake or elsewhere, there are plenty of considerations to take into account from the local authority's rules and regulations and adherence to an SMP (or Shoreline Management Plan) to design preference and functionality.

Whether you have a specific vision or plan in place or essentially have no idea where to start, it is always a good idea to hire a licensed and reputable dock builder that not only knows the ins and outs of what you can and can't do (or should and shouldn't do) but also will provide a professional and sturdy pier construction service that will stand the test of time.

Our guys have years of experience building all kinds of docks on the lake. We specialize in fixed and floating docks, aluminum and wooden dock construction, and are we meticulous with every detail as it were our own!

Dock Repair

Anything built onto (or into) or into the lake is guaranteed to eventually take on significant wear and tear over the years, especially in areas with high boat traffic. Docks tend to take the brunt of this since they are subject to the ebb and flow of the waves from boaters and passerby's, not to mention potential water level fluctuations.

While there are some great advantages to having a fixed dock with pilons, generally a floating dock will experience less wear and tear since it will easily rise and fall with the waves and water levels.

If you happen to be in need of dock repair service be it a small problem or even a more significant, pressing issue, we will happily come out and take a look at what's going on and give you a proper and honest assessment of damage. We'll provide a competitive quote for you if repairs are feasible.

Shoreline Management

Anyone who lives or has lived on the lake knows that the lake side is always considered the "front" of your property! This is where all the magic happens and where you will surely spend a lot of your time. With that being said, nothing could be more important in terms of property maintenance than keeping your shoreline healthy, visually appealing and most importantly resistant to erosion.

The primary manager/operator of High Rock is Cube Hydro Carolinas. They, along with other various, local governing bodies determine if, how, and when you as a property owner are able to make any significant alterations to your specific property's shoreline.

We have years of experience helping homeowners navigate the complexities of the permit process for shoreline alterations and related activities. Whether you have it all laid out and figured, or haven't a single clue about what to do, we can be a useful asset to you and your family by helping you do things the right way, the first time around.

Rip-Rap Installation

Riprap is a layer of rock that inhibits or significantly hinders  soil erosion from your lakefront property into the lakebed. Especially in areas of high or concentrated flows or boat traffic, this can be especially helpful or necessary depending on the geography and general lay of the land.

Installing riprap onto the front of your lakefront property will alleviate any worry or concern you have of slow and steady erosion from to your shoreline, while providing a visually appealing and long lasting addition to your property.

Seawalls

Seawalls are used to control would-be erosion on the edge of your property on the lake. They are especially useful on plots of land with steep or drastic declines in elevation into the lakebed. Utilized often in tandem with riprap at the bottom, this structure will provide to be a powerful deterrent against persistent erosion if designed and built properly.

If you are in the market for seawall construction/installation, seawall repair, or simply would like us to come and take a look at your property and give you our honest assessment of your specific situation, give us a call. You'll be happy you did!
